My no.1 and captain, solid in the sticks and got him on a free! He refused a contract at Boro and initially rejected a Bosman move here; after no one else came in for him he was released and then only agreed to join if i gave him the vice captain position. The same year, my captain left and he stepped up. 2 years and 27 clean sheets, with plenty more to come I hope.
My 1st big money signing, a whopping £40.5 million CB, and worth every penny! So solid at the back that it's even his media description. Instrumental in us winning the title in his first season and you cant argue with those physicals. All I'm saying is: 19 strength.
Only here as good ol' Jay is the best player to come out of the youth system. He was a decent player at the time but never really progressed. He scored on his debut and that was the only goal he ever scored. He played 28 games, most of which were in League 1 where he actually had an impressive 7.13 rating.
